About Giovanni

Originally from Milan, I am a chef who started his cooking journey in London, working in some of the city’s best restaurants. With a deep passion for always learning more in the field of gastronomy and produce, I decided to travel and work in some of the world’s best restaurants. This took me to Paris where I worked in some Michelin star restaurants and developed my cooking, whilst learning the vital importance of respect for produce and it’s growers. I then went on to work in Mexico and Peru which left a lasting impression on me, not only from a gastronomic perspective but also from their cultures’ connection to such a rich variety of produce - I guess you would call it biodiversity.

I came home after all these experiences with a desire to become a gate keeper of Italian cuisine and culture whilst at the same time distilling all influences and things I had been in contact with. In today’s world we can have any sort of food experience and get hold of any type of produce we want and this is hurting us.

So after a fair amount of travelling I have decided to set myself up on Lake Como, at home. I am working on my own biodynamic vegetable garden to ensure that I am putting nature’s best on my clients’ plates. Therefore, reducing my carbon footprint and learning more about food systems.

I offer my services for all types of private events ranging from a minimum 6 to 50 people; I also offer delivery of delicious ready made dishes. I really enjoy discussing menus with clients and usually provide some sample menus for inspiration (please find examples on the website). I look forward to hearing from you.
